"MLC Inside and Out" by Daniel Saunders

"My video attempts to highlight the MLC and all that it offers outside of just plain study space. It shows what the students really think of the MLC and it shows that there is far more than some desks and chairs in the building. I tried to emphasize that the MLC really is an essential part of UGA’s campus and of student life. I interviewed students and showed nearly every part of the building inside and out from jittery Joe’s, to classrooms, to study rooms, to the grand main entrance  and the many hangout places and even the digital media wing.”

"My video is a slideshow of pictures which portrays MLC from multiple perspectives around the building, mirroring how MLC represents different things to different students at different times: study place, a place to get help, or a good place to hang out.”

"MLC 10th Anniversary" by Ashlyn Skaar

"The goal of this video is to not only show how I see the Miller Learning Center, but how the entire student body sees it. And what better way to show our love for the MLC than through a medium we (nearly) all use… social media. After stalking facebook, twitter, youtube, and instagram for hours, I put together this video of photos and clips I downloaded from these social media sites to show how every student on the UGA campus, including myself, feels about the MLC."

"The Miller Learning Center: How do YOU see the MLC?" by Katelyn Esters

"The MLC is a beautiful building in the middle of our campus. I wanted to be sure to showcase not only the nature of its architecture but also what it really means to the students of UGA.”

"MLC Theme Song" by Russel Abad

"From start to finish, this music video highlights the architectural beauty of the MLC as a building, both inside and out.  The lyrics of the song focus on the MLC as a place of study, learning, and comfort for UGA students.  The video also goes into specifics by showcasing the cafe at Jittery Joe’s and the third floor Digital Media Lab.  However, the most special thing about this video is that it was all created within the MLC itself.  The cameras used to film the video and the sound booth used to record the music were all accessed on the MLC’s third floor as pointed out in the narrative of the video."

"MLC" - Ashka Patel"My picture depicts the MLC diffused behind a branch with purple berries. The MLC tends to be a daytime hub—a place where people gather during the day to do homework, study, and collaborate. After the golden hour (a photography term for the best times of the day to take photographs—sunset and sunrise), however, the MLC is a place of marathon studying, frantic homework-completion, and hours of over-caffeinated stupor. The MLC represents all academic facets of student life at UGA."

Davis Gilbertson"I was walking out of the MLC after a long and arduous night of studying when I turned around and saw this view.  Before this time, I had never stopped to appreciate what an incredible piece of architecture this building was. That is when I began to recall the countless amount of nights I had spent in this building, pouring over my notes in order to better prepare myself for my future. I realized that to me, the MLC has become the embodiment of all my hard work and sacrifice in order to attain my goals for my future. I believe that this is what the MLC represents to many of my fellow students, though some may not be aware of it right now. I believe that my turning around and looking back at the beauty of the MLC is symbolic of many students’ paths after college.  While some current students may see the MLC as a place of burden or stress, I believe that one day, when our days in college have ended and we have achieved our goals, we will all look back at our hard work and appreciate the beauty of those many hours we spent in the MLC.”
